"We wanted to feed back on our experience of entering The Wolverton Centre for sexual health, based in Kingston. We wanted to tell how it feels to be a young person accessing these services."

YOL! made a real difference!

5 young people from YOL! attended the Wolverton Centre during service hours, and observed Reception, the Consulting Rooms, the Examination Rooms and other smaller areas (like the toilets etc).

YOL! was impressed with how well the Wolverton Centre does:

"Doesn't look like a hospital!"

"Comfortable feeling, nice colours, bright and spacious."

"Clean, good infection control and safe"

"Privacy respected with curtains, discrete sample storage both in rooms and toilets"

Areas for improvements were also highlighted and taken on by the Hospital:

"The walk from Kingston Hospital's car park to the Centre is challenging for people with physical disabilities"

"Too many leaftets- they can be confusing and intimidating"

"The lower front desk should be decluttered for people on a wheelchair"

"The text on tv is too small to be read"

We are now awaiting for the Wolverton Centre to let us know how our feedback helped them improve the service.

Check this space for any update.
